MCA Movie Review
Nani who looks like a boy to next door is in the peak stage of his career with six consecutive hits. He is back again with yet another movie Middle-Class Abbayi (MCA), starring Sai Pallavi as the female lead. This movie produced by Dil Raju hit the theatres today. Directed by Venu Sreeram, the film has Bhumika in an important role. The film has Vijay as the villain and it is his first movie. Let's see whether the movie impressed the audience or not.
Nani (Nani) is a middle-class guy and he stays with his brother (Rajiv Kanakala). They lost their parents in the childhood. Rajiv loves his brother Nani and one day, he got married. Jyothi (Bhumika) enters into their life. She is very strict and since then, Nani lost his freedom. Jyothi works in transport department and got transferred to Warangal. Rajiv goes to Delhi for training purpose. Nani goes to Warangal along with his Jyothi. Shiva (Vijay) runs travels. He runs buses against rules and transport department seize them. Then the fights between Shiva and Jyothi has started and Shiva plans to murder Jyothi. The rest of the story forms, how Nani saves Jyothi.
Nani proved his mettle once again as a middle-class guy and he suits best in that role. Nani gave his best in this role. Sai Pallavi looks best and the chemistry between the duo is fantastic. The scenes in between the duo will definitely impress the audience. The songs are fabulous. She gave her own voice for dubbing and did justice to her role. Bhumika made her re-entry into the Tollywood with this film. She gave her best. Vijay, who acted in Bollywood films, made his entry into Tollywood. The other roles like Naresh, Pridarshi, Posani, Rajiv Kanakala did justice to their roles.
It is a well-known fact that Allu Arjun bagged success with Race Gurram. The film turned out to be one of the biggest hits in the industry. The interesting news is that Middle-Class Abbayi has the same storyline as Race Gurram. In that film, we can see the strong bond lies in between brothers and in this movie, we can see Nani and Bhumika. We didn't expect this kind of routine story from Dil Raju banner. Though Nani and Sai Pallavi, tried to lift the movie but they failed to do so. Slow narration, poor screenplay and routine story will disappint teh audience.
Though we have this kind of stories in Telugu, the way director present it on screen matters. In this move, the director failed to do so. He wrote the simplest climax for this film. He even failed to give perfect character to the villain. When coming to the music, DSP failed to spell his magic. RR also average. Camera work is good and dialogues are weak expect few.
Though Nani and Sai Pallavi are attraction factors, the routine story, screenplay, will disappoint the audience.
