Oxygen Movie Review
After a long gap, Gopichand is back again with Oxygen. The movie had postponed many times and finally hit the screens today, let's see whether the movie has reached the expectations or not.
Story: The story starts with the introduction of two faction groups Jagapathi Babu and Shiyaji Shinde. Arvind Krishna (Gopichand) comes from America to marry Jagapathi Babu's daughter (Raashi Khanna) and after their engagement, unexpectedly, Jagapathi Babu family members are getting killed one after the other. The rest of the story forms who is the murderer? Why he kills them? Will Jagapathi Babu and Gopichand able to save the rest of their family members?
Plus Points: When coming to the story, the director has presented it in a good way and took an interesting plot. He impressed the audience with the interval bang. Gopichand and Raashi Khanna's chemistry is fantastic and they both did justice to their roles. When compared to first half, the second half looks quite impressive and the fight sequences are top notch.
Anu Emmanuel did justice to her and you will be seen her in a never seen before avatar. She carried the emotional sequences in the second half quite well and Jagapathi Babu once again proved his mettle as an antagonist.
Minus Points: The minus points in this films is the length of the movie. Director focused much on the action sequences and seems neglected the length of the story. He can present it in a more simple and interesting way. Few scenes will make the resemblance of films like Ramayya Vastavayya and others.
The editing might be better and background score is another biggest advantage of the movie. Except for the interval bang, the first is a bit boring and unimpressive.
Technical Aspects: The production values are good, but Yuvan Shankar Raja failed to impress the audience. The camerawork is ok and editing might be better. The dialogues are good and interesting. Director succeeded in presenting the message that he wants to convey and also the action sequences. But the audience will definitely get bored as it seems like a big movie with repeated and routine scenes in most of the times.
Final Verdict: The concept of the movie is good, but the director failed in executing it. Instead of dragging the scenes, he might have added few more interesting sequences in the middle.
PB Rating : 2/5
